I've seen "stream-proof" and "undetected" used in the same sentence everywhere.
Are those actually the same thing?
Because to me stream-proof just sounds like OBS doesn't capture the overlay.
So does stream-proof have anything to do with Vanguard detection or are people just mixing the terms together?

They're different. Stream-proof is about what appears in the recording or stream. Undetected is about anti-cheat detection.

Exactly. You can have something that doesn't show up in OBS and that tells you absolutely nothing by itself about Vanguard.

This confused me too. I thought streamproof literally meant "invisible" lol.

That's the marketing problem. Invisible to a capture source is not the same thing as invisible to anti-cheat software.

The current Valorant Xray listing separately lists "Streamproof" as a product feature and separately makes claims about Vanguard detection. So those should not be treated as one thing. The page also says the ESP and menu won't appear in recordings, streams or screenshots.

Yeah, that makes way more sense. So basically: streamproof = capture visibility detection = anti-cheat

Honestly this should be explained on every cheat site because people mix them up constantly.

Also worth remembering that product claims can change, so check the current listing instead of trusting some six-month-old Reddit comment.
